I have a tendency to forget how much I enjoy going on hikes, although, maybe it just had to do with the company. Either way, I went to Runyon Canyon and showed that trail who’s boss. I only almost fell over twice, which is pretty remarkable in my case! Since Matt is determined to go on a hike once a month, I am bent on tagging along.
After our hike we went to watch Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, which I was reluctant to watch (to say the very least). This is my favorite book, and as it goes with books one likes, it’s hard to give the movie version a chance. While there was plenty it left out, it was really an incredible movie. While the previews don’t allude to it, it does a pretty swell job at capturing Foer’s whimsicality. Not to mention that accidental actor, Thomas Horn, was phenomenal.
