Thoughtful Babble

When I was nine years old I remember my teacher telling the class that on Valentine’s day everyone should bring cards and candy for all the students… We were going to have a party!
Now, I was positively oozing with excitement for two very specific reasons: 1)there was a chance that my crush would profess his deep everlasting love for me 2)I had made up my mind, I would be making my valentines on KidPix. Oh, I was pulling out the big guns.
I designed the very cutest cards with puppies on them, and of-course, a speech bubble filled with text I’d read somewhere to hover just above the pups. I was so excited to hand them out in class that I never double checked my spelling. Come Valentine’s, everyone had a card from me that said, “Happy Valentimes!” Luckily I had plenty of chocolate from everyone to help forget my woes. And while my crush didn’t profess his eternal love, he did give me a card with my favorite Disney princess.
Happy Valentimes!
